For manufacturing cement or concrete blocks, different materials can be used, but cement is always a key component. Other materials include sand, volcanic pumice, perlite, and LECA (lightweight expanded clay aggregate), each with its own unique properties. Recently, volcanic pumice has been widely used for making cement blocks, especially in western cities of the country.
