What is Artificial Stone?
Artificial stone, or cement plastic (cement plast), is a synthetic material made using substances such as resins, polymers, cement, and other similar materials, designed to resemble natural stone. The production of artificial stone typically involves combining various materials under pressure and heat to create a solid and durable structure that can be used for different surfaces, including floors, walls, and interior and exterior building cladding.
Since artificial stone can be produced in various colors, patterns, and sizes, it can effectively replace natural stone in many applications while also being a cost-effective alternative.
Artificial Stone Production Line Stages:
- Weighing Stage: Initially, the materials are weighed by a batching system according to the set amount and transferred to the mixer via a conveyor belt.
- Material Mixing Stage: At this stage, various materials such as cement, resin, sand, gravel, and pigments are precisely combined. These materials are thoroughly mixed and prepared for the next step.
- Transfer Stage: The mixed materials are then transferred to a pressurizing machine (cement screw) and subjected to pressure. This pressure compacts the materials, shaping them into artificial stones.
- Molding Stage: In this phase, artificial stones are formed into different sizes and shapes using rubber molds. These molds are placed on a vibration table, where the vibrating action compacts the material inside the molds.
- Drying Stage: After forming, the artificial stones need to be dried. The drying process takes place in drying chambers, where the stones are subjected to a specific temperature with proper ventilation to evaporate moisture and ensure complete drying.
- Cleaning and Packaging Stage: Finally, the artificial stones are cleaned and prepared for packaging. Packaging is typically done using cardboard boxes or wooden pallets.
